Today in STEAM we designed and engineered bridges. Our first plan when making the bridges was to put the marshmallow on toothpicks and connect them. Then we changed our plan by connecting the toothpicks to the paper and marshmallows. My favorite part of the challenge was weighing the bridges and connecting the marshmallows. I think STEAM is important because we learn real world experiences and having fun along the way. I love STEAM because it is important to me and so is Ms. Buikema. My bridge held 80 grams.

Today in STEAM we designed and engineered bridges. Our first plan when making the bridges was to put the marshmallows in the stick and make holes in the paper. Then we changed our plan by making sticks and with them in he marshmallows. My favorite part of the challenge was when it held seventy grams and then it fell. I think STEAM is important because maybe if we get a job as an engineer then we will know how to do some things. It was also fun watching others peoples bridges hold weight. Our bridges held more weight than the last time because it held 70 grams and before it couldn’t even hold a penny.

Today in STEAM we designed and engineered bridges. Our first plan when making the bridge was to put the marshmallows on the paper. Then we changed our plan by putting the marshmallows in the middle. My favorite part was when we put the weight on my paper bridge and it held 130 grams. I think STEAM is important because if you grow up and you want a job as a civil engineer then you will already have a head start. It is also important because you get to learn more about what you are building and different ways to make a bridge.

Today in STEAM we designed and engineered bridges. Our first plan when making the bridge was to put toothpicks in the marshmallows and putting it on top of the paper. Then we changed our plan by putting the marshmallows on top of the paper like a square. My favorite part of the challenge was working with the kindergartners. I think STEAM is important because it helps with growth mindset, science, engineering, art, and math.
